FAQ

What is EnerJet?

EnerJet solutions are pioneering treatments for aesthetics and dermatological applications. They bring together a patented energy-based intra-dermal, or skin, delivery technology called Jet Volumetric Remodeling (JVR), a needle-free technology that simultaneously delivers kinetic energy and a healing compound enabling a controlled deep injury profile effect for the remodeling of the dermis with a mechanism to create a unique micro-trauma profile. The fusion of the two is a completely new way to introduce therapeutic and aesthetic compounds in an even, lateral and rapid way – with less discomfort and no needles or thermal energy.
Today EnerJet treatments are being used for a wide range of aesthetic indications. It has the potential to be the foundation for new devices and therapies across a broad range of medical disciplines. JVR technology is versatile and effective. It allows development of a single platform with numerous indications. While the EnerJet line is currently powering a range of solutions in aesthetic medicine, it has the potential to be the foundation for new drug-delivery devices across an unlimited range of disciplines beyond dermatology and plastic surgery.

How can EnerJet help me?

EnerJet treatments are ideal for kinetic facelifts, skin thickening, reducing the appearance of acne and hypertrophic & keloid scars and stretch marks.

What makes EnerJet better than existing laser or other treatments?

With EnerJet there is no thermal heating, which means no risk of burns or tissue necrosis. You can have treatments year round since sun exposure is not a factor. EnerJet is suitable for all skin types. In terms of convenience, there is minimal downtime. You can even have an EnerJet treatment on your lunch break! Also, on average, the number of EnerJet treatments required is lower. And best of all – you will enjoy immediately visible and long-lasting results.

How does EnerJet work?

The EnerJet systems uses air jets to create a tiny entry point in the skin – of only up to 200 microns – while leaving the surrounding tissues intact. EnerJet products deliver kinetic energy and a healing compound through this entry point. Once this reaches the lower dermal layer, the jet stream disperses the skin enhancing agent, covering 100 times the area of one needle’s entry point but leaving minimal signs on the outer layer of the skin. This ensures optimal skin coverage and maximum efficacy of the treatment in the dermal layer.

The high molecular mass of the healing compounds is accelerated with pneumatic (air) energy – without the need for any needles. As the particles become dispersed in the dermis, they create a deep volumetric injury effect – the EnerJet unique micro-trauma profile. This sets in motion a cascade healing processes, and with it, the formation of new collagen. The collagen creates tighter tissue that can reduce or improve skin imperfections, such as scars and stretch marks, for long lasting aesthetic improvement.

What are EnerJet treatments like?

Your Aesthetic Therapist will meet with you and conduct an in-depth consultation including your full medical history. As with any treatment, you will be asked to sign a consent form indicating you understood the potential benefits and risks. Your Aesthetic Therapist will analyze your skin to create the optimal treatment program for you.

Before the treatment, your doctor will apply a topical numbing cream for 30 minutes. Then your doctor will cleanse your skin with a sterile solution. The treatment is performed by placing the hand piece onto the skin and applying the air jet and healing compound into the skin. This takes only a few seconds. Then a soothing cream and SPF will be applied. When the treatment is over you may go about your normal routine.

Are EnerJet treatments painful?

Most people report a feeling of slight pressure or impact. A topical anesthetic cream can be used if you prefer.

What will my skin look like right after the treatment?

Immediately following your treatment, you will see whitish papules on your skin. These usually disappear in up to three hours. The following day, the tiny entry-points are slightly visible, but can be easily concealed using make-up. These spots usually heal in 4 to 14 days.

When will I see results?

Results are visible immediately and then over the next few weeks following treatment, there will be an improvement in the appearance of the skin, in accordance with the treatment and desired result.

How many treatments will I need?

In general, we recommend a course of 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.
