Safe, effective scar reduction
A part of the unpredictable and unavoidable result of injury or surgery, scars are visible signs that remain after a wound has healed. They may be raised or recessed, vary by color or texture from surrounding healthy tissue or particularly noticeable due to their size, shape or location.

Keloids are benign fibrous growths that form as a result of an inherent defect in wound healing and appear mainly in scare tissue. They are usually associated with the deposition of excessive collagen scare tissue in response to even minor trauma. Often Keloids are mentioned in relation to altered concentrations of specific growth factors or levels of hyaluronan (HA) in the dermis.

The EnerJet Scar Repair treatment can minimize scar size and lessen pigment variation to make scar appearance more consistent with the surrounding skin.

The EnerJet Scar Repair treatment works by using pneumatic acceleration and a jet of a healing compound to penetrate the epidermis via a tiny entry point, allowing it to spread in all directions in the dermis. The accelerated impact of the solution breaks the fibrotic keloid tissue from the inside, releasing deep scar adhesions from underlying structures and initiating a normal, natural healing process.

Jet Volumetric RemodelingTM (JVR)

Jet Volumetric RemodelingTM powers the EnerJetTM. This needle-free proprietary technology simultaneously delivers kinetic energy and a healing compound with minimal epidermal damage, enabling a controlled deep injury profile effect for dermal remodeling. The combined effect of a controlled micro-trauma and suitable healing compounds for each indication induces collagen generation, creating thicker tissue and correcting skin imperfections for long-lasting aesthetic improvement.

A powerful jet injection blasts compounds into the deeper layers of the skin, inducing a deep volumetric micro-trauma effect with an optimal spread of the material. The jet stream disperses the skin enhancing agent laterally, covering 100 times the area of one 32G needle’s entry point while leaving minimal signs on the outer layer of the skin.

The synergy between two effects sets in motion a cascade healing processes, resulting in a natural healing and hydrating process that generates production of new collagen, ultimately generating skin thickening and tightening.

Improving the appearance and elasticity of keloids is a challenge due to the limited number of available and effective solution. Keloids scars present a serious aesthetic concern and the disfigurement caused by the appearance of the keloid often leads to severe psychological distress and low self-esteem.

Every year, numerous types of pressure garments and drugs are investigated for the purpose of inhibiting excessive collagen synthesis in keloids and controlling fibrogenic growths. Until there is a complete mapping of factors contributing to aberrant wound-healing and not before research appreciates all aspects of keloid formation, it is unlikely there will be a complete therapeutic solution addressing all conditions.

The treatment of keloids using the EnerJet system is an effective modality for reducing the unaesthetic disfigurement of keloids, improving their rigidity and texture, and minimizing the pain associated before, during and post-treatment.

The EnerJet system’s ability to combine the introduction of different therapeutic compounds with the mechanical effect of initiating a micro trauma in the tissue promote a healthier wound-healing process demonstrates a substantial and novel solution for keloids and hypertrophic scars.

“EnerJet is also effective in treating hypertrophic scars with hyaluronic acid in cases where patients are allergic to triamcinolone With EnerJet, the pneumatic pressure spreads the HA wider, so less HA needs to be used. This mechanism of action can also generate wider areas of micro-trauma to the dermis and subdermis, which in turn will create new collagen and elastin in those areas.” Dr. Wilai Thanasarnaksorn
